How does Find a Stockbroker work?

We’ll ask you 7 - 9 simple questions. Our algorithm will match your answers against the information in our stockbroker services database to provide you with 3 recommendations for stockbrokers fitting your requirements. The whole process takes less than 3 minutes.

The questions we ask and why

While our questions may seem simple, they’ve been specifically designed to enable us to match your requirements as closely as possible with the services and available resources of Australia’s stockbroking industry.

Some of the questions may seem direct or confronting (i.e. most people don’t like talking about their money). We will ask you two simple questions in relation to your money, as your answers are critical to ensuring we deliver you the right result. The questions are:

• What is the value of your portfolio? And if you don’t already have a portfolio
• How much are you looking to invest?

There’s 3 important things you should know about these questions and your answers:

• We will only use this information for one purpose - to find you the right stockbroker. We will never pass it on to anyone else, or use it for any other purpose
• You only answer in broad categories - we don’t need exact numbers
• If you meet with a stockbroker or any other financial adviser to discuss using their services, they’ll ask you exactly the same questions

What we do with your information

To facilitate the next stage of the process, we share the information you’ve provided with 3 stockbrokers. You’ll know exactly who they are, as we’ll provide their details to you at the same time.

Will we do anything else with your information?

No. We’ll never use your information for any purpose other than as described above.

Why do we need your mobile phone number?

There’s two simple reasons:

• To make sure your interest is genuine. Stockbrokers are very busy. We’re sure you are too. People don’t like giving out their mobile number so when you give it to us, we know you really want to find a new stockbroker.
• As explained above, we’ll provide it to the 3 stockbrokers we select to enable them to contact you directly.

How we get paid

We get paid by stockbrokers. Why? For helping them find potential clients looking for the services they offer and fitting the profile of the client they’re best setup to take care of.

Investors do not pay to use the Find A Stockbroker service. Delivering an exceptional experience for Investors is vital to the success of our business however, so while you may not pay, we are dedicated to ensuring a rewarding outcome for every Investor.
